Things A Student Magician Should Know

Okay, so you are still reading my blogs on how to be a magician. I see you are serious. But before you proceed, I want to remind you about strengthening your protection spells. This is easy actually, no need for elaborate rituals really but talking to your Guardian Angel before you sleep every night should do the trick. So now you know now how to ramp up your personal shield, you can then proceed to be a practical magician.

As I have mentioned in my previous blogs, you should do at least basic readings on topics like the Tarot. Initiation into Hermetics is good but hard to practice but at least, Sir Bardon will explain basic things there. At least do this, and do some Yoga exercises as well, assuming you have now positive thinking and belief in yourself, I would think you're on your way to doing light magic.

Now to further your evolution from being The Fool to The Magician, I will be assigning you extra researches on the topics of The Order of the Golden Dawn and the personalities in them. I don't need to remind you not to delve into books related to necromancy, rituals with animal sacrifices or any topics related to dark magic. As I have said, we are on the positive side. Killing an animal will give us negative energies and so on, so you don't wanna be wrap in those kinds of things. As I have said, it's about the degree of your belief that makes your magic work. Doing let's say a ritual where you have to kill a chicken, maybe that would work too, for a time, but the more you will do that the more negative energies gather around you and there will come a time your karma goes back to you seven-fold. Doing positive magic is the only way to go about being a magician and enjoying it. When karma hits you, the only thing that you can be paid by karma is seven-fold of positive things. The reason I want you to read about the Golden Dawn is because I want you to know these famous occult personages. Well, it's not really related to what I want you to do to become magicians but I want you to know what you shouldn't become. We don't need to become affiliated with groups or orders to learn magic as I have argued before that we are independent beings of each other.

This is one of the reason I did not continue my membership in an order because it just dawned on me that being affiliated to any outfit actually hinders me. Like example, they taught you a ritual or knowledge so you can get up to a ranking, and they would say this cannot get out or you will have karma on you. That alone, undergoing those rituals to get a higher grade, you're already giving them permission to have power over you. You will be doing things prescribed by them and thus you wouldn't be able to develop much your own thing. One example of this is magic words. Most likely they will tell you certain magic words to say for something like healing or whatever. In my case I am just making my own. This is another thing I think modern magicians have overlooked, by modern I mean 20th century magicians, is that they still rely on Latin words to invoke. Yes, of course, I would say they are powerful indeed with the right positive vibration and belief that they will come into effect once uttered. To explain why Latin is not as effective as before, because it is a dead language. It's usage has been overgrown. I would argue that it is better to utter words in English because there would be more power to that because a lot of people in their mind uses English, which I would take that since more people are talking in English, then it follows also that English would be much better understood or would resonate more in other planes in our lifetime.

Hope I was clear.
